Poker. Should I protect my weak hands in situations were my opponent could easily float me?
For example let's say I'm playing heads up. I called a pre flop raise with 47 in the big blind vs a on raise. Flop comes 482. I check so my opponent continuation bets and he beys half the pot. Now most of the tim he will continuation bet with nothing. However if I check raise I'm making the pot bigger which he can easily take away from me by 4 betting or floating and betting the turn. If I check call and check the turn I can only HOPE he stops betting. And if I bet this turn firstly it males no sense and secondly he can float me to the river. So is the strategy with weak hands to just try and check them down when your out of position vs players who are capable of making moves?...
