Is Online poker illegal now?

Hey so today i decided to start playing poker online again since i just got a job and can actually play for real money. but than i went to pokerstars.net and it said this website has been siezed and all that. So i was wondering is it illegal to play poker online with real money? and if not than is there a legit website that allows you too?
